emmy MAGAZINE GOES DIGITAL

Digital Editions of emmy Magazine will be
Available on Emmys.tv and Emmys.com for First Time

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA, July 28, 2009 – The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' award-winning bi-monthly publication, emmy Magazine, is now available for the first time in an interactive digital format. Through a partnership with Zinio, the global leader in digital publishing products and services (www.zinio.com), electronic digital editions of emmy Magazine’s first three issues of 2009 will be available in their entirety to Television Academy member subscribers via Emmys.tv, the Television Academy’s website for industry, media and membership information.

Members may access the magazine by using their login and password to read the digital edition, while continuing to receive the print edition. Non-members may browse the digital magazine and, if interested, purchase individual single issues, archived issues or a full subscription via Emmys.com, the Television Academy’s public website dedicated to the Primetime Emmy® Awards.

Each environmentally friendly digital edition of emmy Magazine is an exact replica of the print publication, with numerous enhanced features such as full searchability, clickable links, zoom functionality, the ability to take notes, highlight favorite articles, email content to friends and post content on blogs or social networking sites. Zinio has been named as the Television Academy’s “Official Digital Publishing Partner,” which includes the creation of a digital edition of the program book for the 61st Primetime Emmy® Awards on Sept. 20, 2009.

Zinio is also creating and distributing a custom digital publication to promote this year’s Primetime Emmys. The partnership between the Television Academy and Zinio is an extension of Zinio’s The Read Green Initiative (http://www.goreadgreen.com/), an urgent call-to-action launched in September 2008 to inspire consumers to embrace environmentally sustainable alternatives to traditional print publications.
