On June 8, 2008 Christopher Street West presented their Annual Pride Parade celebration in the city of West Hollywood, CA. This year was history to celebrate for the LGBT community due to the recent CA Supreme Court ruling in early May allowing Same-sex marriage to take effect June 2008.

The street of Santa Monica Boulevard from Crescent Heights to San Vicente BLVD was fill with enormous number of persons who gathered together to celebrate, participate, watch the floats, laugh, have fun and show support to the LGBT community. The parade started at 11 am and ended around 2pm. On Friday, Saturday & Sunday was celebrated with famous celebrities such as this year some of the line up performances were Olivia Newton-John, Kimberley Locke, Michelle Penn, Ami Cusack, Marcellas Reynolds, Ben Patrick Johnson.
Government officials such MAYOR ANTONIO VILLARAIGOSA and others continue to shown their support by participating in this event.

Christopher Street West agenda continues to feature Our Agenda: Love. Equality. PRIDE. The 2008 Los Angeles LGBT PRIDE Celebration (LA PRIDE) took place on June 6, 7, 8 in West Hollywood.

According to Los Angeles Times article published on June 9, 2008 “As many as 175,000 revelers, from the spectacularly garbed to the sedate, converged on West Hollywood on Sunday for the city's annual gay pride parade.” Los Angeles Times stated per: “L.A. Pride organizers estimated that up to 375,000 people attended the three-day celebration, which began Friday evening.”
Every year Christopher Street West recognizes individuals for their outstanding contributions to the community by honoring them in a variety of categories that include the arts, community and political involvement, and sports and media publications.
